Holidazed

My favorite little boy dropped by earlier to claim his Christmas gift from Nang-nang (as in Ninang, my mom).

His annual visit (3rd time this year) is something we all look forward to every Christmas eve-evening.

As the rest of the globe is waiting for the clock to strike 12, somewhere in sweet home Marymount, my family celebrates Noche Buena ahead of time. We like our food well digested before we hit the sack, so we feast as early as 8PM.

Took photos around the house ;)
I wore a heart printed button down sweater and a gold tutu. I love the whimsy touch of the tutu. I'm not the type to be regularly seen in something too covered up since I'd like to believe I was born in the right hemisphere. But it's Christmastime, so I made an exception.

Christmas eve is usually spent with an intimate family dinner at home. This year though, we celebrated at my grandmother's house with the rest of my dad's family (that includes my family, my uncle's family, my aunt and grandmother). Although me and my sisters wore identical sweaters, we made sure we embodied our personalities in each of our looks.

Right on the spot photo shoot beside the Christmas tree before opening our presents!

I had to open one of my gifts a tad earlier than the rest. I had an inkling it would look perfect with the outfit I had on.

And voila! Christmas outfit complete thanks to my boyfriend and his mad skills in, clairvoyance? He knows my style too well.

MERRY CHRISTMAS

Holiday Cheers

My mom and her close friends meet up at least once a week for some afternoon tea (or coffee). I don't know why the thought of throwing a Christmas party for the mom and kids never occurred to them. We have summer getaways together and birthday parties, but never a formal Christmas party. This year, I raised the suggestion to my mom and last Monday, we all got together at Tita Kitchie's wonderful house.

I took few shots of the place, I was busy (and dizzy) chasing after the toddlers.

We had savory chicken, Mediterranean pasta, pork with broccoli and spaghetti for the kids.

The all-time favorite fudge brownie ala mode. This has been a staple dessert for the past birthdays. I don't think I'll ever grow tired of it.

The kids are sooo adorbs!

Everyone was busy playing with plastic balloon. My siblings and I were the only ones who have never tried playing with plastic balloons. They eventually learned that night. I, to this day, still don't know how to.

Taking a breather from all the Christmas rush!
Happy holidays :)

Biker Brigade

I used to think motorcycle jackets were only for those who rode Harleys and I’m so glad I was wrong. Motorcycle and biker jackets have been gracing the runways since last year. I may be a bit behind trends but fashion can be recurrent sometimes.

Drawing inspirations from style star Vanessa Hudgens

J'adore! Biker jacket with frilly skirt / tutu <3

I wore this (refer to photos below) ensemble last Sunday when my family spent the afternoon in Rockwell. My sisters and I took the time to check out the last day of the Moonlit Bazaar at the Rockwell Tent. It was particularly chilly that time as we can all feel the breezy afternoons serenading the entry of December.

I love the sweetness of the chiffon dress and the unexpected garterized lattice back design!

I still prefer going to the Supersale Bazaar above all others since when they say, supersale, they actually mean it! Rockwell bazaars showcase a lot of local designer items which are extremely stylish and exquisitely made. The clothes are usually ahead of trends which is why I enjoy browsing every stall. Prices are relatively expensive compared to typical bazaars but the clothes are made in very limitted quantites. So if you're looking for trendy, stand out and fashion-forward pieces, Rockwell Bazaar is the place to go. I'm usually on hyper status when I visit Rockwell bazaars so usually forget to check out the food stalls.

I, personally went to check out Olivia & Fifth and COEXIST  since they are not participants of the Supersale bazaar group. My visit paid off when I was lucky enough to snag the very last piece of the black motorcycle leather jacket. I also met Coexist designer/owner Camille Co.

I'm not a fan of buying necklaces because my neck tends to itch whenever I wear fancy jewelry. I saw this necklace with a huge embellished crown pendant and I couldn't say No.

I usually take my photos inside the VIP/Citi-Rustan's Lounge at the 5th floor of Rustan's Makati because I get shy like a shrinking violet when there are people around. It's just usually us inside the lounge so I get the liberty of taking photos. While leafing through the pages of MEGA Magazine, i saw this:

Yes, those Zebra pumps were my last shoe purchase and I took notice of the bomber-ish/ motorcycle-ish jacket on top of the shoes.Wooo Hoooo outfit ideas brewing inside my head.

We had dinner at Conti's in Greenbelt which is my fave resto by the way. It's very hard to choose from their menu, everything looks so good! So that was how I spent the last weekend of my Sweet November.

So long Singapore, we only part to meet again

November 9,2010

For my flight back home I chose to wear a Sexy White Shirt (That's exactly the brand of the shirt I'm wearing) studded blue pencil skirt from Secret Paris, Satin pumps and silver cross neklace both from Forever 21 and white blazer from Glitterati . Ashley Olsen's the main inspiration for this outfit. I just adore the crispness of the white shirt.

At Changi Airport

I was able to do some last-minute cosmetic shopping thanks to GST Refund and some generous donation from mom

It was a very turbulent ride home so i wasn't able to take decent photos on the plane. So there, that wraps up my 5 day Singapore vacay! :)

No emotional baggage, just big bags filled with Dior

(November 8, 2010 MONDAY) I've been particularly excited about this day since our tickets got booked late July. Mum allotted generous baon (pocket money) for us girls since she said items are not exactly cheap in Singapore. As early as August, i was researching about the stores and malls I wanted to visit and even printed out the details  in 2 full pages!

My birthday and Christmas day are only 45 days apart so usually make a fused wish list. I only had a few things going on since I was thinking of using all my money to splurge on one thing (or two) that I really like.

I was carefully preserving my money til this day. I was surprised I was not tempted to buy something from Universal Studios, I guess I've outgrown souvenirs already. Orchard Road looked deserted on this lovely Monday Morning. Malls weren't even open so we were just strolling around.

I've developed a penchant for onesies (rompers, playsuits, jumpsuits..etc) since i feel very comfortable in them. I got this batwing jersey romper from the Rockwell bazaar last July and paired it with my monogram Coach flats. My sisters are surprised at how the midnight blue color of the romper is captured perfectly in the photograph. It looks black in actual :p I added my ever-favorite gold cross necklace (also from the Rockwell bazaar) and a blue studded bag from Hong Kong.

I love this photo of Nanay and Tatay just because Nanay blends with the color of the bus that suddenly swept past behind them. haha kidding, of course they look great in this photo!

Along the way, we saw the Miu Miu store at Paragon and it looks too cute so we just had to take a photo.

We wanted Forever21 to be our first stop because chances are, they have the items I'm waiting for, from their US website. I knew i wouldn't have this much to spend on a regular shopping trip so i planned to give in to my whims this time. The four-storey Forever21 was located at Somerset and we still had a long way to go so we stopped by Paragon to check it out. (Really, we just wanted to dry the sweat off our backs! haha)

Mom was raving about buying a Longchamp Le Pliage because the style and color that she wants is always sold out in Rustan's.  Paragon, from the looks of it, is a mall which houses upscale stores like Jimmy Choo, Coach, Miu Miu etc.

After taking this adorable photo of Tatay and my little brother Jose, I saw IT.. the flagship store of Longchamp. I told my mom to check it out so up we went. It was like Le Pliage heaven, all colors and styles imaginable were there. Funny how my mom pushed me in getting one for my own. Okay, if she didn't push me to, i probably would not have gone for it :p Imagine the multitude of clothes and shoes i could have gotten in place for one bag. After much deliberation (was torn between a black shorthandle and the navy longhandle) i settled with the latter. So there goes a major bulk of my pocket money!! Oh well, IM HAPPY. Enough said ;)

The thank-you-Daddy-I-promise-to-be-good shot

All four floors of Forever 21 and I had to practice self-control. It felt like a private sale, there were more or less 8 people inside including all 6 of us! haha I saw the black cut out booties that I've been wanting for so long and it was amazing how i was able to resist it.

By lunchtime we took a cab to see the Merlion Park and thank heavens Isa brought the tripod. Yaay!

From the Esplanade we took the City Link and walked our way to different malls.

Nanay & Jose resting while the rest of us are still trying to look for things and trinkets to buy. By afternoon and 2 Topmans later, I still have not found the perfect present for my boyfriend. Tatay and Jose went back to the hotel at 5PM while Nanay, Isa , Ela & I went back to Orchard Road.
