If you wanna be my lover, you gotta get with my friends

Dear blog, I’m embedding these images in your humble pages as a testament of the weekend that was. Then one day, I can take a trip down memory lane and remember that crazy night when my alcohol limit was put to the test, when I unknowingly bruised my car, nearly seduced a random vendor into giving us free chips, plotted blind dates, passed out in Kamille’s couch and chipped in only 50Pesos for all that drink I shoved down my throat. I have amazing friends. That night remains a blur. But I do have patches of memories involving unzipping of garments, Ibyang taking my blackmail-worthy photos, drunk-dialing prospect drivers and the girls talking about the details of their juicy love lives. Oh boy why did I have to miss that last part? Merde

I guess I'm notorious for overdressing. This would've been ideal for a fancier night-out/dinner date or Philippine Fashion Week, but not for a small town girl like me. This outfit deserves a lone spotlight so I'm saving the write up for another entry. Currently obsessing over this tribal print bustier from the Fashion Against Aids collection so I'll be wearing this over and over and over. Oh, I forced my sister into lending me this gorgeous maxi skirt from her friends Danielle and Regine's online shop. And I would also like to thank Dean 's sister-in-law for the necklace I bought that same day. Haha It sure became an integral part of my outfit.
PS. Friends, mag twitter na kasi kayo.

Kisses,
A

Star Spangled Fantasy

Throw in some Uggs and I’d pass for a sell-out reality star doing her rounds in the grocery on a Saturday. Can’t help feeling inspired by all the laid back, boho dressing showcased by Coachella attendees. (aminin, nakakainspire talaga ang mga suot ng mga attendees!) Common factor? Skin, sheer, shorts, boots, flowers, swimwear and did I mention skin? Lots of ‘em! It’s as if showing your belly is a sine qua none to your presence. Times like these, hipster fashion is taking center stage but before you start singing Faux-chella-ella-ella-eh-eh-eh allow me to elaborate more on my outfit.

Hemlines are reaching for the skies as the season marches on. This pair of American flag printed hotpants from Topshop is the perfect go-to denim if you want to stay away from the conventional denim cut offs. I love how it looks so laid back with the distressed hem and faded print as if it has aged beautifully (when in fact it’s my first time to wear them out). From Plain Jane to GI Jane

Headed to the Country Club for a round of Tennis and Bowling with my family on Labor Day. Yes, you read that right. Little Miss Sedentary right here suddenly came to her senses and decided to try out something completely new- sports! 2012 is boasting of its long list of "firsts", I am so proud of myself. Oh, please don't judge my bowling score, I was a lot better on the Tennis court than I was on the Bowling Alley. I tell you.

Sometimes I prefer to actually be consumed of beauty, rather than seek the assistance of a camera to do it for me. I am not trying to come up with a lame excuse to vouch for my inability to take good photos (haha!). My March 5th business trip to Ilocos punctuated a string of Bacolod trips I took this past quarter. Sixteen hours on the road was anything but sweet. If it was any consolation, Fort Ilocandia served as my home for a week. If only I was able to maximize its facilities; plenary and restaurant not included. And oh, I was finally able to exercise my first post-collegiate hosting gig during our National Sales Conference Awards Night. My bosses like the idea of tossing me into an open fire; I lived to tell the tale of course ;)

Road trip & Roxy

Title

blog1
My busy work schedule coerced me to duck under the blogging radar for weeks now. When I finally got the privilege to spend a full weekend at home (with an extra day off, thank you boss) I didn't let one second go to waste. It was family bonding on full blast to make up for weekends we were utterly deprived of. When I found out some of Manila's top bloggers: Vern, Lissa and Kryz were heading south for a ROXY event, I rounded up my siblings, popped in a good 'ol 90's playlist and drove off. Nothing like Spice Girls on a road trip, really.

Number 1: My sisters and I are certified Roxy girls since high school -- that is if you gauge by material possession and not by surfing or skating skills. We go crazy over anything stamped with the mirrored-and-tilted mountain and wave logo. Number 2: Seeing Manila's top bloggers on an event here in Laguna is quite a rare sight. Number 3: The Quiksilver store is right beside the Serenitea branch in Nuvali -- all the more reason to drop by! :)

Putting aside our purpose of milk tea and Macaron date in Nuvali, we really wanted to come up and personally thank Vern, Lissa and Kryz for taking a tiny bit off their time and sending in their sweet words as part of the birthday video Hannah made for my sister. It may seem like a small thing but we fairly know how busy they are :) I've always been a cyber moron but one day, maybe I can finally post the video here.

They say driving by early gets you ahead of the traffic and our small act of gratitude couldn't wait any longer, not even for next Saturday! And I would appreciate it if you won't judge; the first photo was taken shortly before taking off and obviously, we weren't ready one! haha

Under my umbrella

blog3
Braved the rainy weather yesterday to pick up the license plate and some accessories for the car over at Toyota in Alabang. I finally finally got to take photos under the rain with my favorite transparent umbrella thanks to my sister Ela who agreed to take my photos.

I scored this beautiful silver necklace from a random kiosk in ATC last week for Php 150 (a little less than USD 4) and I got quite a number of compliments earlier ;) Sadly, my skin develops allergic reaction to silver or fancy jewelry per se. I usually apply clear nail polish to my silver necklaces, at least on the parts with most contact to my skin.

I was quite apprehensive to drive under such adverse environmental condition, but a girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do. To combat the weather, I wore one of my favorite blazers over a blush leotard. I love the crispness of the white blazer and the sequined black piping all over. I'm telling you, Glitterati's got the coolest blazers!

Hold the wheel and drive. The culprit behind my swollen left thumb due to incessant intense clapping during the Incubus concert. I wore these two again to adorn two digits on my right hand. By the way, I do NOT suffer from Hepatitis. haha

The obligatory reverse parking proof photo just because I hardly do this. #proudmoment

Enjoyed a lovely meal at Friday's. I had steak, nachos, broccoli soup (must try!) and lemon chicken pasta something but my lemeleme app murdered the photos and they were edited beyond recognition.
Hooray for free WiFi at Friday's! It's not that I'm being narcissistic, I just like to proofread my blog at least twice a day. My sister is a Grammar Nazi and I can't bear to hear any more "Ate! Nakakahiya ka... yahdiyahdiyahdi", so I do this just to be safe. I also have the tendency of adding (and sometimes, omitting) photos and descriptions to some entries when I feel like there's something missing or otherwise. That explains why some entries seem different when you read through again :) Editing doesn't stop after I click the publish post button, it's a job I attend to everyday.

I use an iPod/iPad2 when proofreading my blog entries because none of the computers here at home can display the arte font of my entry titles. That's how it should look like and not the typical Arial or Times new Roman.
Spell pa-cute!

I know, I'm such a generous big sister :p Goodies for the kids at home!

It's been a week :( I miss my Incuboys!

I'm officially bidding my nonchalant bum life farewell as I start with work next week :) I'll be working in the same industry as my father (Crop Science/ Crop Protection). I'm really looking forward to the 8-5 office work and I can't wait to redecorate my cubicle :) Oh, the office is only about 45 minutes from my home AND we don't have to wear uniforms so it's quite a catch!

Singapore Day 3 (Part Deux)

We departed the Zoo a little over lunch time for our afternoon-til-sunset itinerary in Sentosa.

I feel extraordinarily comfortable in a playsuit so i wore this double breasted polka dot playsuit from my boyfriend ( <3 J), hotpink suede flats from Steve Madden and the bollywood bag from Rustan's. I like playsuits bacause they don't cinch your torso like how regular trousers do.

Our driver dropped us off Mt. Faber for the Jewel Cable Car ride. I'm very fond of cable car rides if you haven't noticed, even more, this one's bejewelled which is a bonus :>

We had a lot of time in our hands since we were scheduled to watch the 8:40PM show of Songs of the Sea.

Lunch plus siesta time at Tastes of Singapore

Can You Spell FUN?
It's usually Ela or I who takes the photos, hence we are almost always MIA. It seems like Isa is the star in the Luge&Skyride photos, she's in every single one of 'em. haha

We pretty much did all things tourist-y and enjoyed every single one of them.

So Agua Bendita :p

Songs of the Sea, finally ;)
Went back to the hotel drenched in rain, tired but happy ;)
